📖 Awareness And Practices On Injection Safety Among Service Providers. Assessment of Injection practices in east Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh.

In modern medical care practices giving injections became one of the most preferred method of treatment.Most of them are unnecessary and leads to increased burden of blood borne infections like HIV, HBV, HCV. And in day to day practice curative injections exceeding preventive ones. Many of the health care providers do not have proper knowledge on safety precautions While giving injections and even while disposing them,leads to a greater risk of acquiring the dreadful diseases. With this background this study is going to give information about the knowledge and practice of proving injections and the disposal of injection related waste among various service providers that is doctors, nurses, health workers and lab technicians in a district of Andhra Pradesh, India. It also gives information on burden of injections.
