📖 Control Charting Methodology for Censored Data. Statistical Process Control Charts.

The manufacturing technologies are developing rapidly, therefore, most of the products have been designed with high reliabilities. Lifetime data are often collected with high censoring to save time and cost. An important issue in life-testing applications for industrial engineering is how to develop a control chart for monitoring the mean lifetime of products under censoring. This study is designed to deal with type I censored data using the statistical quality tools. The EWMA, CUSUM and Shewhart control charts have been modified for dealing with type I censored data.
