Present paper reviews literature to find out biology of CRP and its role in atherosclerosis, quality of hs-CRP level as a biomarker of risk use of hs-CRP as a tool to initiate statin therapy in CVD and better understand the application of high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) in clinical practice. We highlighted recommendations from societies and important considerations when using hs-CRP to guide treatment decisions in prevention of CVD.
