📖 Informal Justice Mechanisms and Formal Courts in Kenya. Lessons from the Gacaca system in Rwanda.

The book is informed by the maxim, “Justice delayed, is justice denied” The overwhelming backlog of cases in the Kenyan judicial system continues to hinder access to justice for a majority of Kenyans. The need to explore other means of access to justice beyond the formal court system is investable the only option. ADR as discussed in this book present an effective, cheaper, non adversarial strategy to decongest formal court systems and allow Kenyan women and men access justice timely.
