📖 Leaderful Communities. A Study in Community Leadership.

Can an organization reduce poverty? Can a community? Paul Born believes that communities can take leadership on poverty by developing a new infrastructure that seeks to create change. Despite our best efforts, poverty is on the rise in communities across Canada. Our current responses to the situation are not working. Organizations can not adjust fast enough to meet the changing needs and demographics of those they are trying to help. In Leaderful Communities, Born explores a new way to address community problems - one that requires people in a community to learn and work together. Using the example of Opportunities 2000, a millennial poverty reduction campaign in Waterloo Region, Ontario, Leaderful Communities examines the fundamental nature of community leadership and considers the kind of community leadership that can lead to a community without poverty.
