📖 Magnetoelectric Coupling in Eu(1-x)Y(x)MnO(3)..

This work presents an experimental research of the physical properties of the orthorhombic Eu1?xYxMnO3 system at low temperatures, mainly focused on its ferroelectric properties, magnetoelectric coupling, and on the lattice mediated spin-phonon coupling, arising from the competition of magnetic interactions in this system. A thorough analysis towards the correlation between both structural and Raman modes parameters has been undertaken. The results provide evidence for two main structural distortions of MnO6 octahedra, arising from a cooperative Jahn-Teller and rotational distortions in these compounds.
