📖 Mandibular Two-Implant Overdentures. An Oral Health Technology Assessment Report.

Reputable scientific opinion recommends the use of mandibular two-implant overdentures as the minimum standard of care for edentulous patients. This technology is associated with high treatment and maintenance costs, which necessitates a systematic critical appraisal of its efficacy and economic impact to aid informed decision making by clinicians regarding its procurement and/or expanded use into clinical practice. This book is based on a Health Technology Assessment that assesses the economic and clinical outcomes (clinician- and patient-based) of ball-type mandibular two-implant overdenture treatment in comparison to treatment with removable mandibular complete dentures, different types of attachments for mandibular two-implant overdentures, and different loading protocols of the mandibular overdenture.
