📖 Mission to Mars

Set in a Urals city, Mission to Mars is about the new "heroes of our times": disillusioned and confused young Russians who lived through the collapse of old ideals followed by the current political stagnation. The protagonists launch a campaign against a dishonest airline exploiting people's fear of flying and promising false guarantees of safety, for an extra price. Reports of actual airplane crashes provide an alarming backdrop to the story and are symbolically in tune with the characters' individual moral downfalls.
