This book is borne out of the desire to have a simplified text on diseases and pests of some crops in Nigeria. The text does not pretend to cover all the topics in plant protection. Topics such as major plant pathogens, diseases and pests of crops, timber diseases, symptoms and stages of disease development, pathogen attack, defense mechanisms, disease control and weeds were considered in the text.
