Pharmaceutical sprays for external use occupy the most important place among aerosol formulations and are widely used in dermatology and surgery, gynecology, obstetrics and proctology. Theoretically and practically all diseases of the local nature can be treated with aerosol drugs. The pressure required for the medicinal product to come from the container is ensured by the baking of the propellant. Propellants are inert chemical substances, through which aerosol packaging creates excess pressure, which prevents the packaging from disposing of the medicinal composition and disperses it into the environment. The purpose of this book was to analyze the properties of propellants that are used in pharmaceutical companies and their environmental impact.
