This book describes the synthesis of six-membered pyrimidine ring incorporated analogues from the intermediates amidine, dimethylaminomethylene ketone, chalcone, and chloro derivatives of 1,4-benzodiazepines following the strategies depicted in schemes 4.13-4.21 respectively. The structures of all compounds have been established by their elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and MS spectral data.
