Casting is process of producing metal component parts of desired shapes by pouring the molten metal into a prepared mould and then allowing the metal to cool and solidify. The solidify piece of metal is known as a casting. Casting industries need to produce components without defect and have good mechanical properties. Shrinkage defect in valve body casting is predicted and remove/minimize by simulation software. Experimental validation is carried out to validate the simulated result.
