One of the current challenges for pathologists is to be able to handle, manage, and integrate molecular pathology into the routine diagnosis of round cell sarcomas when needed. There is a further reason to provide accurate diagnosis in soft tissue round cell sarcomas of childhood: the high response rate of many of them to appropriately applied specific neoadjuvant/adjuvant chemotherapeutic protocols.
