This publication concerns the habitat diorama: an item in a museum collection, a display technique, an exhibition style and a piece of art. The use of dioramas for presenting taxidermy specimens, in the portrayal of a natural landscape, is controversial within the museum sector and this book will offer a critical reading into why controversy is unnecessary and this presentation technique should be continued and preserved.
