Deep-marine channel complexes continue to emerge as potential hydrocarbon reservoirs, this is why understanding them becomes increasingly important in an industry that perennially chases the next frontier source of energy. This study examines the architecture and depositional history of a classic example in the Canadian cordillera and provides insight into the behaviour of such deposits and ideal exploration targets.
